A mattress either coaxes you to sleep or robs you of a good rest. If you are like me who value sleep over anything else (almost), you might want to read my mattress buying tips.
Consider These Tips When Buying Your Next Mattress
- Support and Comfort: A hard mattress does not necessary mean it will give good support. You have to feel comfortable when lying on it. When selecting a mattress, remember that your body should be able to relax, with your spine supported at its natural curve.
- Size: Go for the largest size your room can hold. Even if you are single, you will need some room to move and turn around. Newly-wed couples may eventually have young children sleeping with them in the future.
- Warranty: Most warranties cover for product defects and not gradual wear-and-tear over the years. Hence, proper care of your mattress is more important than the period covered by the warranty.
- Padding: This material can be an extra layer on top of the mattress or within the first layer to sag over time, so look for thicker and quality padding.
Shopping Tips On Buying Mattress:
- Bring your sleeping partner with you. Both of you will have different preferences on the firmness of the mattress, so you need to compromise before making a purchase.
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can be easily removed. This way you can lie down on the bed to get the best feel.
